About The Project

In 2018, the Centre for Livelihoods, Ecosystems, Energy, Adaptation, and Resilience in the Caribbean (CLEAR Caribbean Ltd.) sought to establish a sustainable coral restoration program in Saint Lucia. The aim of the Coral Restoration for Resilient Ecosystems and Livelihood Opportunities (CORRELO) project is to establish a sustainable coral restoration programme in St Lucia.

Nu Visual Media was chosen to tell the story of how this project is improving the resilience of the island’s coral reefs and creating new livelihood opportunities in vulnerable coastal communities.

What we did?

Our team worked with the CDB communications team to conceptualised the storyline and schedule key interviews and site visits before we flew to St Lucia. Once in St Lucia we recorded several interviews in Castries before heading to Soufriere where we met up with our local team member to visit the project site and surrounding communities. Nu Visual Media captured both photography and video on and under water to tell a compelling story of hope for our coral reefs.
